Road Crew Coffee & Cycles is a neighborhood bike shop and coffee destination in St. Louis, built to bring cycling, service, and community together under one roof. In addition to offering bikes, gear, accessories, and professional bicycle service, Road Crew provides a full café experience designed to give riders and neighbors a place to meet, recharge, and spend time. The concept blends the utility of a modern bike shop with the atmosphere of a thoughtfully designed coffee shop, creating a more social and lifestyle-driven approach to cycling culture.
Road Crew Coffee & Cycles was built from the ground up by Southtwelfth as a hybrid bike shop and coffee shop in Tower Grove South, St. Louis, inspired by concepts like Meteor Cafe in Austin and Rapha Clubhouse in New York.
Southtwelfth developed the name Road Crew from the support car and team that follows cyclists during races like the Tour de France. That idea became the foundation for Road Crew Coffee & Cycles, right down to the domain roadcrew.cc, with “CC” naturally tying back to coffee and cycles.
The identity included a logo featuring a vintage Mercedes with a modern bicycle mounted on the roof, combining classic cycling heritage with a more contemporary visual language.
The larger brand was built around cycling, coffee, community, and street culture. Rather than creating another traditional bike shop aimed at the typical high-vis, weekend-group-ride crowd, Road Crew was designed to feel younger, more culturally aware, and more fashion-driven.
The goal was to bring the attitude of brands like Supreme and Aimé Leon Dore into cycling and coffee culture, premium, stylish, community-focused, and a little unexpected.
